Information:

Rocco Rivetti is a working Director and Video Editor who has spent the last decade creating a diverse portfolio of projects spanning from short films and music videos, to fashion films, large scale brand video campaigns, and, as a Post-Production Technical Director, feature-length documentaries.

As a Director, he has made music videos for a wide variety of genres of artists, and as the highly-collaborative medium encourages, he takes pleasure in the challenge of shaping every project to each artist’s unique style. Over the years, this has amounted to a stylistically diverse body of work that has been featured in publications like The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, The Guardian, NPR, and Pitchfork, among others.

As a Freelance Video Editor, he works with industry-leading brands across many sectors to create unique, visually dynamic edits that focus on the specific needs of each client. To meet the ever changing demands of each project he has created a highly adaptable process-based workflow that has allowed for a significant amount of experience in various edit styles. Whether editing an abstract fashion film or a doc-style interview short, the objective is always to take the approach that works best for the subject at hand, especially if that means going against conventions.

He previously worked as an Assistant Editor & Technical Director at Parallax Post (Everything Everywhere All At Once, BLKNWS, The Eric Andre Show,) and at Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment during the editing of her concert documentary Homecoming, and his experiences working under these highly talented editors still informs his own edit practice to this day. He has a degree in English, Film Studies, and Creative Writing from UC Berkeley, and attended semester long workshop courses from both Professors Joyce Carol Oates and Namwali Serpell. This strong foundation in storytelling operates as the base from which his whole practice is built.

He lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
